About the NYU Opportunity Fund

Your support will enable us to continue providing opportunities for historically underrepresented and traditionally underserved students through the Opportunity Programs (OP) CSTEP/HEOP at NYU. Funded by New York State in partnership with NYU, OP strives to admit students who may face barriers to higher education and provide them with the academic, financial, professional, and social support they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors. Our goal is to encourage OP students to achieve their full potential, maximize their college experience, graduate with a baccalaureate degree, and contribute to the betterment of their immediate and extended communities.

New York State Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)

Since 1969, in partnership with the New York State Education Department, HEOP has been integral to NYU's commitment to a diverse student body. HEOP provides a broad range of services to New York State residents who, because of educational and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend a postsecondary educational institution. HEOP scholars are provided with sufficient academic and counseling support services, tuition assistance, supplemental financial assistance, and full-need packaging to enable them to successfully complete the institutional components required for graduation.

Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP)

Since 1986, in partnership with the New York State Education Department, CSTEP has been integral to NYU's commitment to a diverse student body. CSTEP provides a broad range of services to New York State residents with a focus on increasing the number of students from underrepresented groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, technology, and health-related fields. CSTEP scholars are provided with sufficient academic and counseling support services to enable them to successfully complete the institutional components required for graduation.
