NYU’s commitment to building and strengthening a university-wide culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity led to the creation of the Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation (or OGI for short). As part of the Office of the President, OGI provides expert consultation, resources, and innovative strategies to help guide the university—and its uniquely global and diverse student, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni communities—toward a more inclusive future. Your donations will support specific university efforts that span NYU’s global network and will help us to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at NYU.
#1: Anti-Racism and Innovation Microgrants: Your contributions to this microgrant program will provide seed funding to NYU faculty, staff, and student research that contributes to anti-racism and equity innovation efforts at NYU and beyond.
#2: Student Leadership Programs that Center Experiences of Historically Marginalized and/or Underrepresented Communities: Your funds will contribute to student leadership development efforts that center the experiences of historically marginalized and/or underrepresented student communities at all stages of their academic careers. OGI facilitates a range of leadership and professional development programs, retreats, and networking opportunities; funds would help to expand these efforts along with new fellowship opportunities.
#3: Wellness Opportunities that Center Experiences of Historically Marginalized and/or Underrepresented Communities: The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for us all with exacerbated disparities impacting historically marginalized communities. We know the need for wellness supports for NYU communities’ members continues. Your contributions will help OGI and our partner offices across NYU develop wellness-focused programs and access resources to support our students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
#4: LGBTQ+ Center 25th Anniversary: In honor of 25 years of the Center’s existence, your contributions will support expanding LGBTQ+ student leadership programs, elevating LGBTQ+ research and scholars, and supporting students through LGBTQ+ specific emergency funds that will allow them to succeed during their time at NYU.
