Changemaker Center
NYU’s Changemaker Center helps students realize the world they want. Through immersive programs, global awards advising, experiential learning, and events, we help students build the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to take action on the issues and within the communities that matter to them.
The Changemaker Center serves students who are seeking to:
- Understand their identity and values
- Define a vision for their impact
- Build skills to actualize their vision
- Obtain resources and connections to support their goals
In the past year, the Changemaker Center’s impact has included:
- 45 Gilman Scholarships for study abroad—nearly triple the number from just two years ago.
- 2 new Truman Scholars—Amina Anekwe (CAS ’26) and Cameron Bedard (Tandon ’25), Tandon’s first-ever Truman winner.
- 28 Fulbright recipients heading to 21 countries. NYU remained a Top Fulbright Producer and ranked #1 for study abroad and international enrollment (Open Doors 2024).
- $7,694 awarded through Changemaker Collective Grants to 14 student-led social impact projects, reaching over 400 community members.
- 1,460 incoming CAS first-year students completed our college seminar, Authoring Your NYU Story, successfully connecting 25% of NYU’s new undergrads to high-impact learning from day one.
Support students in their ability to understand themselves, their leadership, and their impact at NYU and beyond!
