When should I receive a receipt?

After you make your gift through the NYU One Day site you will receive a confirmation email immediately. If you do not see it, please check your spam folder. An official tax receipt will be sent in 4-7 business days.

Why make a gift on NYU One Day?

Your gift on NYU One Day is more than a gift; it is helping NYU students achieve their dreams. Participating in NYU One Day sends a powerful message about the importance of higher education and the strength of our NYU community and its collective impact.

How do I decide where to give?

You can give anywhere that you are passionate about. You can give to the undergraduate or graduate schools with which you have a personal connection, or directly to programs and initiatives that will change the world.

How can my gifts make a difference?

Gifts of any amount provide funds that can be spent to address the most pressing needs of the area you are supporting. NYU relies on your annual gifts because endowment funding and tuition do not cover the entire cost of an NYU education. Your support on NYU One Day allows our schools and programs to respond nimbly to opportunities and needs as they arise.

Will 100% of my gift go to my designated area?

Yes! NYU takes donor intent very seriously and ensures that all gifts go to the programs to which they are designated.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Yes. There is a $5 minimum donation for NYU One Day.

Can donors make gifts from outside the United States?

Yes, New York University accepts international gifts via credit card or check.

Can I give through a stock, Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), mail, payroll deduction, or wire transfer on NYU One Day?

My company has a matching gift program. How do I submit the information to NYU?

If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it to NYU. Any questions, please reach out to matching.gifts@nyu.edu or go online.

Is my NYU One Day contribution tax deductible?

Yes, your gift on NYU One Day is tax deductible. Due to high gift volume, please expect to see your electronic receipt within 4-7 business days.
